Sometimes I feel offended that they do not know where Singapore is, and Singapore is actually an independent nation.  But after awhile, I thought, perhaps we (Singaporeans) have not done enough to get noticed. So maybe we should be more proactive in promoting our country.

Forex trading in Uk and Europe in general is picking up steam recently especially with the economy very unpredictable, forex trading seems to be much “safer” than equities.

I have a forex mentor who told me, that during economy crisis period, the foreign currency trading market is the most volatile and based on point movement profit taking, the forex market is the best place to be in.

Of course having said all these, I am not encouraging everyone to have a go at it. But keep an open mind and have a look at it, if it is something new to you.

I continued to watch it and a homicide investigator was being interviewed and he said they are not taking it lightly as Michael was in coma all the way to the hospital, plus he is sort of like a rich and influential person, hence murder could be one possible cause of Michael Jackson’s death. However they did stress that there is no evidence of criminal wrongdoing as yet.

The L.A. County coroner’s office also commented that they are not leaving any chances, the coroner’s office will determine a cause of death as soon as possible.

Its a pity that he has left the world even though he was planning to make a comeback.

Daisy and I then took her to a swimming lesson trial, as we would like to see how she like moving in water and her confidence in water. It turned out really well as we anticipated. She loved the water and she must have enjoyed herself really lots, as she cried when we took her out of the pool after 20 mins in the water.

I made dinner and we spent about 1 hrs on the tv, watching a documentary about treasure hunting in the English Channel, how the team, after spending about 2 years from researching to physically founding the treasure that is worth US$500 million in gold and silver coins!!

It brought me some philosophical thoughts. Treasure hunting is a team effort, and if you have the best experts with you, you done all the possible research in details, you spend lots of time and effort on it, one fine day, you might just be surprised by your hard work.

I think this best relates some of the things that I am doing right now and I am sure my wife and my best friend will know what I am talking about. So it has been almost 2.5 years now, I am working towards the treasure and definitely looking forward to see the gold coins waiting for me to be collected.

Today, after a few days of doing some minor changes and advising him on some SEO knowledge, checking on the Google SERPs ranking, we found out of that 8 top keywords that we targetted, 5 have shown improved results, top 5, top 10, top 20 results. The other 3 new pages are yet to be indexed so no chance to prove themselves yet. I am sure in 2 weeks, the SERPs will change for the better. Expecting top 5 results for most of them.

I am quite happy that I have made another person believing in SEO, and more importantly someone who can be my grandpa. Talking about my grandpa, I thought of him recently, and that day, subconsciously I thought he is still alive and wanted to see him at the family dinner. Weird but it sort of made me smile in my mind that day. Silly me..

Can you imagine what they will sell next? I know in the Costco stores in USA, sells just about everything, and to the extent of selling caskets/coffins. Convenience stores that sell everything that you need in your everyday life….

Despite lots of people advising us not to go to HK because it has got cases of swine flu, we went ahead and did what we think is right. There are many reasons why we want to bring Chloe to HK, but the ultimate reason was to let Daisy’s Grandma have a chance to enjoy her great-grand daughter, Chloe’s company.

Daisy’s grandma is the only grand parent that we have, and I always wanted to let my grand mothers have a chance to be a great grand mother, but they did not have that chance. They have left us 10 years and 4 years ago respectively.

Because we do not know what is going to happen tomorrow, I do not want to have any regrets, so we made that decision to go ahead.

I am so glad that we went ahead and share our pride and joy with our HK relatives.

It is a science because, there are some formulas that you will need to apply, fundamentals like html codings, proper taggings – h1 tags + title tags + KW appearing in content body + backlinks etc = good SERPs ranking.

It is an art because it is about arranging all the elements in a specific way that appeals to the search engines, and as long as the search engines like the arrangements, naturally you will be ranked high for the specific KWs in the SERPs.

The results of a good synergy of the science and the art of SEO, will naturally gives you good organic traffic from the search engines. This is my simply explanation of what is SEO.

I hardly know him personally, however during my Basic Airborne Course, a brief contact with his nurturing mentorship, gave me the feeling that he is a kind and caring instructor. He was known as the Mr Miyagi look-alike, or more commonly known as Yoko.

I read from his daughter’s blog and can’t help but felt the emotional loss of a great father. From her eulogy for her father, it tells us how Warrant Tan shown his family his love for them and how a great role model he is.

I was tearful as I read the blog post. So watch the eulogy video too.

Lesson learnt:
i) don’t take things for granted. Appreciate your loved ones. Show them that you care, always.
ii) treat everyday as if it is your last day on earth.
iii) don’t be afraid to display your affections.
